Dr. Zvi Sadan's webpage is dedicated to issues relating to Jesus, Judaism, New Testament and Israel. Sadan's presupposition is that the conflict between Jesus and Israel is primarily polemical and cultural rather than theological. His persuasion has been that when viewed without prejudice, Jesus is indeed the bearer of good news to Israel. His thought-provoking articles are the result of years of studying Christian, Jewish and Messianic Jewish views of Jesus.

  • Barren Hearts in Foreign Land

    Responsa

It is difficult to hold the pen still when writing this response to the article of S “The Desert Hasn’t Bloomed Yet” (Havurah, May 1998). My only hope is that Mr. S represents his views only and not that of the people who are working with Jews for Jesus. Why Mr. S has found the need to criticize the Israeli believers is for him to answer. I simply want to touch upon some of his unshakable “truths” that turn him to be so arrogant.

  • Eternal Punishment

    Responsa

I read your paper with interest and was impressed by the number of verses you brought to support your view that there is no eternal punishment. I also noticed the absence of references that may suggest eternal punishment, or annihilation if you prefer (cf. Dan. 12:2; Mt. 12:28; 2 Thess. 1:9)

  • The Israeli Messianic Community: An Overview

    Responsa

When I came to faith in 1980, those who welcomed me and nurtured me in my new faith were two Mennonite missionaries who were conducting services in an Anglican Church. The scene that welcomed me was anything but Jewish. At the time, I could not have cared less. I was raised on a secular Kibbutz and was soaked in anti-religious sentiments. My lack of interest in Judaism and my new zeal for Yeshua made me easy prey.

  • The Law of Moses and the Law of Christ: a Response to A. Fructenbaum’s View

    Responsa

To appropriately understand Arnold’s view on Torah, one must realize him as a devote dispensetionalist, that is, Arnold divides history into different periods of times, hence dispensations. In this system, each dispensation has its own (new) uniqueness as it relates to the relationships between man and God, hence the idea of “progressive revelation.”

  • The Law the Jew and the Gentile

    Responsa

In the past, deprived and without rights, Jews were seen as a living testimony to the wrath of God. Today, Jews are seen as a living testimony for the love of God. There are two primary reasons for this revolution: Zionism and the Holocaust.

  • Yeshua--Our Bread of Affliction

    Responsa

Some ten centuries ago, the Christian world became divided into the “Western Church” and the “Eastern Church.” The Pope excommunicated the Patriarch and the Patriarch excommunicated the Pope. The official reason for this schism was the use of unleavened bread in the mass. This is an astounding reason for such a quarrel.
